What's the job?
We're looking for an experienced & hands-on Backend Engineer to work closely with the CTO,
building a Data Platform and Product for the business teams in Connecteam.
You will work with large datasets and systems that need to meet the scaling demands,
and will develop internal tools that give the company the ability to make
data-driven decisions.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop internal tools for different teams in Connecteam
- Develop microservices and APIs for a variety of flows
- Work in a real-time, Event-driven environment
- Create data pipelines
- Take Ownership of multiple systems and products
- Develop & Deploy Machine Learning pipelines to production, based on event-driven flows
- Work in a multi-cloud environment(Azure/GCP/AWS)
- Create Integrations to third-party tools
- Translate business requirements to technical specifications
- Our Stack - Python, BigQuery, Redis, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Tornado, SQLAlchemy, Airflow, Airbyte, NewRelic, Elastic, K8S
Which qualifications you'll need:
- At least 5 years of experience with Python, or equivalent programming language
- At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer
- Experience in writing microservices and REST APIs
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience with Event-based development
- Experience with big data and high velocity & volume systems(nice to have)
